Hi Mike,
Could I please have the times and dates for Attercliffe bus ride?
Many thanks.
Chris
Dear Chris
For some reason I’ve only now found your message from three months ago. I’m sorry I’ve neglected you.
As you may imagine, we’ve had to cancel the Bus Rides Round Attercliffe for the foreseeable future. When social distancing rules relax enough for us to cram thirty people on the top deck of a 1950s double-decker we’ll start running them again.
if you’d like to send me an e-mail address I’ll add you to the mailing list and contact you in due course.
Best wishes and apologies,
Mike Higginbottom
Hi Mike,
Have you any ideas why friargate bridge in Derby would have had a sign on the cafe side( left as you go up Ashbourne road)which read “ Pybus ,and I think, End Ltd”. I found it on Derbyshire Live site but cannot find any reference other than that.
Friends of Friargate bridge don’t seem to know. Any ideas
Yours. John Flint
Perhaps it has some connection with Pybus Street, further out of town on the opposite of Ashbourne Road. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Hi Mike,
Saw your photo of Nottingham Castle and Mortimer’s Hole on Mal Redman’s wonderful Nottingham memories website. I’m just finishing a not-for-profit book on Stapleford and nottingham and wondered if I could include this photo with credit to you of course. Copies will be donated to libraries, schools and societies. Proceeds from any sold will go in full to the Samaritans.
Best wishes, Alan
Dear Alan, Thank you for asking for permission to use my Mortimer’s Hole image in your book. Yes, please go ahead with a ‘© Mike Higginbottom’ credit and – if there’s an appropriate place – a link to my website https://www.mikehigginbottominterestingtimes.co.uk. Best wishes, Mike
